The Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service will begin delivering a second round of Economic Impact Payments to millions of Americans as part of the implementation of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021. We understand you have questions and are here to help.
When will I receive my payment?
Economic Impact Payments may be available as soon as the first week of January. In a few days, you can check the status of your payment at IRS.gov/GetMyPayment.
How will I receive my payment?
This second round of payments will be distributed automatically, with no action required for eligible individuals. If the refund from your 2019 (or 2018 if you did not file in 2019) tax return was direct deposited, the IRS will send your payment to that same bank account. If you did not receive your tax refund by direct deposit, your payment will be mailed to the address listed on your tax filing.
What if additional legislation is enacted?
If additional legislation is enacted to provide for an increased amount, Economic Impact Payments that have been issued will be topped up as quickly as possible.
Please note, we expect increased traffic to our Online Banking, Mobile App, and phone lines due to the delivery of the Economic Impact Payments. You may experience delays when trying to access your account or call us.
